Setting the stage

Whilst many modern venues have screens installed permanently for guests to use, sometimes you are running an event in a venue where you have to bring your own screen.
At the most basic level this can be a free standing screen, but that can look very bare, and lost against the

walls of room you are in.
The addition of a simple curtain or drape to trim the screen and hide any thing behind that might distract the audience.
But it's far better to create a visual focus that encompasses both the visual content on the screen and the presenters on stage.
An easy way to create this on a tight budget is to extend the drapes to provide a complete backdrop which creates a more impactful look.

This backdrop system uses a extendable supports to create a frame which provides a flexible width and height to fit any space up to 4m in height.
The drapes fix to the frame and create a sense of theatre for your presentation.
White drapes allows the use of coloured wash lights to provide an intense look to create a mood, or to follow your event branding.
Another alternative is to use black drapes. This provides visual focus by also hiding the room decor, but instead draws the eye to the lit areas, such as the lectern or stage, creating a more intimate look.
You can add your event or corporate branding in a variety of ways, such as free standing banners.
Of course the look and feel of any event is vital for creating impact, and whilst a bespoke stage sets cost a little more than a modular drape system, you can mix and match to suit all budgets.
The ultimate in branding though, is to use printed wraps to brand the entire set.

Here a design was agreed with the client, and then the vinyl wrap was printed onto a single roll of fabric which was erected on site.
We made a video of this one, and it's on our YouTube channel.
