Every year on May 19, National Roadie Day honours the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help keep the show on the road.

Roadies typically work long hours. They get to their destination, load the equipment into the venue, set up the entire show, and then once its all over, tear everything down and pack it up for transporting on to the next gig.

But not all 'Roadies' enjoy the glitz and glamour of rock and roll.

Spare a thought for the production crews that work in the corporate side of the events industry. No cool bands in front of adoring fans, just corporate suits presenting 'Death by PowerPoint'.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL ROADIE DAY

On May 19, let’s show some love to the ones who make the magic happen behind the scenes on National Roadie Day

Why not celebrate your event crew?

Recognize your Project Managers, techs, set builders, and everyone who keeps the show on the road.

Post a tribute and share your favourite roadie memory on social media and tag it with #NationalRoadieDay #KeepTheShowOnTheRoad and #RoadiesRule.

It's not all Death by PowerPoint!
It's not all Death by PowerPoint!

"Another town, another place

Another Girl, Another face,

Another truck, another race,

We are the roadcrew"

Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister (R.i.P)
