I felt very privileged to work with our friends at Ayre Events at the iconic Black & White Lounge, First Direct Arena Leeds, for the Pride in Diversity Awards - Yorkshire.

We do a lot of awards dinners in our line of work, but few are as charged with emotion as this one. Winner after winner were genuinely humbled by the recognition from their peers and community, and there were some very moving acceptance speeches.

The Pride in Diversity Awards (PID) shines a spotlight on Yorkshire’s most inspirational diversity champions, amplifying their voices and recognising their dedication.

Both individuals and communities were honoured, across areas such as Neurodiversity, Disability, LGBTQ+, Race, Faith, and Religion.

Hosted by Matt Jameson, the awards presentations celebrated both individual and team achievements.

The PID hope to advance the funding for vital services, introduce new opportunities for collaboration in our region, initiate wider recognition and creating a more inclusive environment for everyone to thrive.

A very special evening, and one I hope to be involved in again next year
