On a recent live stream event for a nationwide corporate customer, we had four UK offices joining the event.
Three of the four sites were connected to the internet using hard wired connections via the companies own

network.
But one of the sites opted to use the Wi-Fi instead
Wireless is not ideal for streaming video because, like a multi lane motorway, it shares your stream with other traffic.
Not necessarily a problem in quiet times, but when it gets busy, each lane slows down, and at the slip road, all the traffic has to queue.
During rehearsals everything worked without any noticeable hiccups.
But as the audience walked in to the room, and their devices automatically connected to the rooms Wi-Fi, the stream quality deteriorated and as the live show started, the presenter froze a few seconds into his speech.
The technicians at the site asked everyone to turn their Wi-Fi off, and that did improve things, but the overall event producer at the head office location, took the decision it was too much of a risk, and we had to exclude that site from the Q&A which was very disappointing.
Remember: Just because a zoom meeting might be alright over Wi-Fi, when organising any kind of streamed event, ALWAYS USE A WIRED CONNECTION.
